Food for thought

Let us embrace winter and have fun with some healthy food and drinks!

The inspiration for this week's newsletter comes from the wonderful fruity components found in our Matsimela ranges and how these can be used to create culinary delights ~

LEMON AND LIMElemon

A tablespoon of either in hot water first thing in the am will bring the body into the much desired alkaline state. Remember all disease originates from acidity in the body.

GINGER

Incredibly good for a number of complaints; excellent for digestive problems. Shred some with a little orange zest, mix with feta cheese and use as a filling for chicken!
For a smoothie add chopped ginger to fruits of your choice plus some lowfat yogurt and liquidize.

RED BERRIEScherry

High in antioxidants; sprinkle over cereals, fruit and other salads.

AVOCADO

A wonderful source of nutrients! For an easy lunch drain a tin of tuna, place in a bowl, top with mashed avo and sprinkle over some sesame seeds. Eat with crusty health rolls. What could be easier and healthier?
