MatsiMela is an indigenous word meaning "roots" and originates from the African language Sotho. We are returning to our roots in all that we do to enrich you with our African Heritage.

Our philosophy is to create a unique and ever-evolving product range that incorporates the finest natural ingredients selected for their beneficial properties. We endeavour to source our ingredients through rural communities in our commitment to make South Africa a better place for all.

The MatsiMela retail environment in both Clearwater Mall and Broadacres Lifestyle Centre is classically African & modern in look and feel. With stone clad walls, glass shelves and perspex-lit middle unit tables on which the product is displayed; calls for a unique interactive African experience in which you, the consumer can willingly participate.

The MatsiMela Home Spa range of products is constantly growing and developing with the ethos of caring for yourself and the environment. We are in the process of developing 9 new 100% natural eco-cert products. MatsiMela in the very near future will be redesigning the brand from core product to design to incorporate a more “green” feel, with packaging and raw materials being bio-degradable and eco-friendly.
